A mask for every occasion! These masks are sold as dry powder in eco-friendly compostable pouches. To use, simply take a scoop of powder and mix with a wetting agent of your choice. This can be water, fruit or vegetable pulp (avoid citrus fruits), milk or yoghurt according to your preference. Please only use food-grade ingredients to ensure the finished mask is safe for use on skin, and avoid vinegars as they will make the mask too acidic. Once mixed with your chosen wetting agent, the mask must be used immediately and any excess discarded, so I recommend only using a small scoop of clay at a time until you find the proportions that work best for you (see also the sample recipes below). The pouch is resealable so the dry mask will keep for up to six months if kept in dry conditions.
These masks can be used on the face, hands or feet, so put aside some me-time, light the candles and indulge yourself!
I recommend doing a patch test for all of these masks, as different people find their skin reacts differently. Masks should not be used every day, and I recommend using them a few days before a big event rather than on the day, as some people find their skin looks a little the worse for wear immediately afterwards! The charcoal mask can also cause some temporary staining.
