Combining luxuriant oils, delicate floral aromas and high-performance plant extracts, the Empress Luxury range is designed to meet the skincare needs of industrious working women and busy mothers. The ingredients have been chosen for their ability to balance oil production, and are therefore suitable for both oily and dry skin, perfect for women who find their skin changes with hormonal fluctuations. A 10% discount applies when purchasing all four products in the Empress Luxury range together (see separate product here).
This exotic blend of oils is rich in anti-oxidants and vitamins to nourish skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It will also help to balance oil production and control breakouts. Simply place a few drops onto your fingertips and massage over face, avoiding the delicate eye area. For best results, apply just before bedtime to nourish your skin overnight.
More about the ingredients: We all know eating fruit is good for us, but it's also good for our skin. Blackberry and apple seed oils are very high in anti-oxidants, as well as Vitamin E, and Omega 3 and 6, which all contribute towards restoration of damaged skin. Meadowfoam oil is widely used in skincare for its moisturising and rejuvenating properties. Meanwhile, I've also included some unusual oils you may not have heard of. Echium plantagineum, a plant in the same family as borage and forget-me-nots, grows wild across much of southern England, and bears such colourful common names as 'purple viper's bugloss' and 'Patterson's curse'. Don't be put off, however, as its high ALA and GLA content are super-nourishing to the skin. You may have heard of the benefits of jojoba oil for balancing the skin's oil production. The problem is that jojoba oil is produced from a desert shrub that doesn't grow anywhere near the UK. Therefore I've opted to use oil from British-grown camelina, which is rich in the same eicosenoic acid that gives jojoba oil its beneficial properties. Finally, geranium and juniper essential oils provide a gorgeous scent and complement the oil-balancing properties of the serum.

The apple and blackberry seed oils are produced from waste of the fruit juice and jam industries, so are totally zero-waste products.
You will notice that the labels on these bottles are much shiner than on most of my products. That's because they're made from a form of bio-plastic. I experimented with various paper labels, but they just didn't work, partly because the printing didn't show up clearly enough and partly because the oils in these products would inevitably drip onto the labels and stain them. Therefore, I went with the bio-plastic option. This is a natural material made from wood chips, but resembles plastic. It means the labels hold up much better during use and will last longer, and when they do reach the end of their life, they are still biodegradable.
