How to use your Multi-Purpose Powders

Find out all about how to use your Multi-Purpose Powder Pots.

The Multi-Purpose Powders are so-called because you can use them anywhere on your face. Some work best as blushers, others as highlighter, bronzers etc. and of course any of them can double up as eyeshadows.
They are supplied in aluminium tins so are easy to use with an eyeshadow brush or sponge applicator (which you can find here if you need one). The loose powder is really flexible for different uses.
When your powders first arrive, remember to give them a bit of a gentle shake and maybe leave them to stand for a while in order to let the powder settle. Be careful where you open them, as you don't want to spill powder onto surfaces where it can stain.
These powders are very versatile, so can be used singly or blended to create a variety of looks. You can also layer them for a more vibrant colour, or use a thin coat for a more subtle look. If you want a very subtle colour, you can use them neat on the skin, as the colour will adhere more easily to a base of foundation, so you will get a more vibrant colour when using the powders over a base layer of makeup.
You can see the difference in these clips, where I've used the same powder on both eyes, but with foundation under one and not the other.
Finally, when it comes to removing your powders, you'll want to use an oil-based cleanser, because the powders are oil-dispersible and not water-dispersible. The cleansing balms that I sell will do the job the nicely, or for on-the-go makeup removal I prefer to use a bi-phase cleanser, which will be available for purchase soon.
Products used in this tutorial:
Multi-Purpose Powder (in Aquarius)
Bi-Phase Makeup Remover - coming soon!

You can also use Cleansing Balm for Sensitive Skin to remove eye makeup (or another Cleansing Balm if you're not using it around the eye area)
Bamboo & Gardenia Cleansing Balm
Goddess Luxury Cream Cleanser
